February 11, 2015 — A woman is suing an Italian restaurant in Manhattan after she found a metal hook in her fish, according to a lawsuit.
Aliona Russo and her husband were having dinner at Villagio on the Park, located at 40 Central Park South, in August when she took a bite of her branzino and noticed something wasn’t right.
“She put the fish into her hand and noticed a 2-inch hook and line attached to the part of the fish that she was chewing on,” Russo’s attorney Jay Dankner told WCBS 880’s Alex Silverman. “The entire table couldn’t believe it.”
Russo got an apology from the staff, but then the restaurant refused to pay for anything, including her dental bill, which he finds shocking and the Russos find insulting, Dankner said.
