September 18, 2014 — NORTH Sea cod could soon be certified as a species consumers can once again have absolute confidence in.
That was a key message brought forward by Dr Tom Pickerell, technical director at Seafish.
The former fisheries policy officer for World Wildlife Fund UK, who joined the Grimsby-based organisation last summer, gave the upbeat note as he referred to results of Project Inshore, an analysis by Seafish of near water fishing.
