May 25, 2013 — Fish auction prices and landing data used to be tabulated in handwriting. Now it is a new era, and NOAA Fisheries has developed an easy-access website to report on fish landings in New England in detail within 24-48 hours.
The site features three species with graphs and recent histories: cod, haddock and scallops. Dozens of other species are reported in somewhat less detail.
All of the data can be downloaded to spreadsheet programs by buyers and sellers, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
