April 1, 2015 — Maine fishermen will weigh in on a state legislator's plan to limit the amount of scallops they can harvest per day.
Representative Robert Alley of Beals wants to limit scallopers to 90 pounds per person, per day. The plan is the subject of a Wednesday hearing. It is unpopular with some fishermen who say the cap will make it more difficult for them to make money.
