New report alleges harsh working conditions in Hawaii’s longline fishing industry

May 16, 2019 — New report from Georgetown University Law Center alleges extremely harsh working conditions and abuse in Hawaii’s longline fishing industry.

The study looked at conditions for nearly 700 foreigners working on boats in some cases they worked 18 to 23-hour days.
