CALIFORNIA: California seafood restaurant fined for violating commercial fishing laws

June 2, 2026 — A Venice, California, U.S.A.-based seafood restaurant and people involved in the business have been ordered to pay more than USD 100,000 (EUR 86,004) after the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) discovered multiple, repeat violations of the state’s commercial fishing regulations.
