The Northeast Fisheries Science Center and the School for UMass School for Marine Science and Technology are holding a meeting to collect fishermen‘s input for this spring’s winter flounder assessments.
The next Winter Flounder Assessments Industry Meeting is scheduled for Monday Feb. 28 to prepare for the upcoming stock assessments for the winter flounder stocks: Georges Bank, Gulf of Maine, Southern New England/Mid Atlantic.
NorthEast Fisheries Science Center scientists will be there to review the 2008 stock assessment, new information since then, and plans for the upcoming assessments this spring.
We would like to gain fishermen's perspective of the winter flounder fisheries so we hope you can make it on such short notice.
The meeting will be held on Monday, the 28th, at 3 pm at SMAST II – the AT&T building in Fairhaven, MA at 200 Mill Street. The meeting will be in the second floor conference room and we will have signs posted directing you to the correct place.
