February 1, 2015 — On the menhaden front, the 2015 stock assessment report will be presented on Tuesday and is sure to draw a lot of interest.
It’s going to be a busy week for fishery managers gathered at the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission Winter Meeting Tuesday through Thursday. There are some big decisions to be made, especially when it comes summer flounder, menhaden and blackfish.
Among the items on the agenda are presentations of stock assessments on menhaden, blackfish and black drum as well as final action on Draft Addendum XXVI for the summer flounder management plan.
