December 17, 2014 — The following was released by NOAA Fisheries:
Dear stakeholder:
We have developed a draft strategic plan for the Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office and would like your input.
This plan is part of a national effort by NOAA Fisheries. All regional offices and science centers are putting together strategic plans that contain region specific goals and priorities. However, it is important that these plans align with the agency's overall mission and goals, and are developed in an open and transparent manner.
Our plan identifies objectives associated with seven primary strategic goals: sustainable fisheries; protected resources; habitat conservation; community resiliency; aquaculture; organizational excellence; and customer service.
We welcome your feedback on our draft plan because we want to make sure our strategic objectives make sense. That is, we want to ensure we are addressing stakeholder needs while achieving our Federal mandates.

We look forward to hearing from you!
