May 6, 2015 — The wind is finally blowing in the right direction for fishermen from P.E.I. and throughout the southern Gulf.
Lobster, crab and scallop seasons have all been delayed around the province because ice has been unusually slow moving out this spring, but Rebecca Acton-Bond, acting superintendent of Ice Operations Atlantic, said conditions are changing.
“Everything around P.E.I., Northumberland Strait, all the New Brunswick coast is really starting to rot.
