The New England Fishery Management Council will hold its April 2026 Council meeting to discuss a range of issues including groundfish, herring, ecosystem science, and other fishery management issues. The public is invited to join, listen live, and provide comments. Here are the details.
WHEN: Tuesday, April 14, 2026 10:00 a.m. – Thursday, April 16, 2026 12:00 p.m.
WHERE: Hybrid meeting with in-person attendance at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland, ME, and remote participation via webinar.
WEBINAR REGISTRATION: Online access to each meeting day is available through the April 2026 Council meeting webpage. There is no charge to join the webinar. The Council uses Zoom to broadcast meetings. Zoom requires users to be on the latest version of the application. You must update your Zoom app at least five minutes before joining the webinar to avoid glitches and be able to view presentations.

OPEN PERIOD FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS: will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 4:15 p.m. during the meeting, and can include Council issues that are not listed on the agenda.
