FLORIDA: Fisherman to Rally at NMFS Offices in St. Petersburg
Rise up on February 25th in front of The National Marine Fisheries Service Office in St. Petersburg.
 

By land or by sea, you can stand up and be counted. The NMFS building has a beautiful 360 degree view of its surroundings, which include a beautiful waterfront view and a view of the block on which the 'demonstration and education event' is being held. Imagine the impression you will make on the NMFS when we stand together and demand answers.

We are just getting the fires lit on the big boiler, so bear with us for a few days.

May 22, 2012 - Listening to the New England Council's Groundfish Advisory Panel talk about how that industry is going to pay for monitoring costs is kind of like trying to figure out how to pay your bills when you've just lost your job. Though monitoring is important keeping costs down is critical. As Panel Member Gary Libby pointed out, "If we had 100 percent monitoring we probably wouldn't have an industry."
