Onset fishing boat towed to Provincetown after taking on water |

Northern Approach, a wooden 40-foot sea scallop fishing boat based in Onset, and its two-man crew were towed to safety Sunday after taking on water 2 miles north of Provincetown. After the fishing boat Probable Cause of Provincetown radioed for assistance around 7:36 a.m., a 47-foot motor lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Provincetown and an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod responded to the Northern Approach. May 22, 2012 - Listening to the New England Council's Groundfish Advisory Panel talk about how that industry is going to pay for monitoring costs is kind of like trying to figure out how to pay your bills when you've just lost your job. Though monitoring is important keeping costs down is critical. As Panel Member Gary Libby pointed out, "If we had 100 percent monitoring we probably wouldn't have an industry."
