NOAA Fisheries Service extends the sector roster deadline for new permit holders to April 30, 2011, for fishing year (FY) 2011 (May 1, 2011, through April 30, 2012).
This is intended to provide more flexibility to permit holders when an ownership change takes place, without disrupting the organization of sectors. Therefore, this deadline extension is only for permit holders who took ownership of their limited access NE multispecies permit(s) after December 1, 2010.
Interested permit holders must contact individual sector managers to join. Please note that each sector may decide whether or not members may leave the sector and whether or not to accept new members. No permit may be enrolled in more than one sector during FY 2011.
This supersedes deadlines included in letters from NOAA Fisheries Service dated July 29, 2010; August 18, 2010; and October 21, 2010.
