    EDITORIAL: Kerry, reps request to halt NOAA charges should bring easy answer
    It was certainly good to hear that U.S. Sen. John Kerry and three fishing coast congressmen — John Tierney, Barney Frank and William Delahunt — have stepped up and formally asked National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration chief Jane Lubchenco to call a halt to any and all fishing industry prosecutions by NOAA enforcement personnel until the Inspector General's probe into NOAA's agents malfeasance can be completed.

    NOAA asked to delay prosecutions of fishermen
    On the eve of a planned protest on Capitol Hill by thousands of commercial fishermen, five members of the Bay State delegation to Congress have asked the federal government to put prosecutions of fishermen on hold while officials sort out the disarray among fisheries law enforcement.

    Congressional hearing coming to Gloucester on March 2
    Two congressional House subcommittees have now scheduled back-to-back hearings into an Inspector General's findings that the federal fisheries law enforcement office in Gloucester had established a record of questionable actions against the fishing industry — including fines in the Northeast that far exceed those levied in other parts of the country.

    And one of them will be in Kyrouz Auditorium at Gloucester's City Hall.
