Environmental groups sue federal government to block permit issued to Kona Blue fish farm |

HONOLULU — Two environmental organizations have sued the federal government to block a permit issued to a Big Island company aiming to grow amberjack or Hawaiian yellowtail at a farm in federal waters off the Big Island.
Honolulu-based KAHEA and Food and Water Watch Inc., which is headquartered in Washington, D.C., allege the National Marine Fisheries Service didn't have the authority to grant the fish farm permit to Kona Blue Water Farms, Inc. of Kailua-Kona. Read the complete story from The Republic.
